Playing chess well, requires comparing moves and choose the best
option based on thinking ahead. During the class, discussing the
purpose and consequences each move may have is an important
analytical skill that your child will develop over time. This ability to
analyze and plan helps to understand how to achieve goals in school,
hobbies, or future profession.
Mr. A emphasizes that every move is part of a short- or long-term
goal, as well as child’s personal decision that he/she is responsible for.

Some of the good habits that child develops playing chess are
Focusing, discipline, being careful, detail oriented, patient, and responsible.

Together with a coach, child learns to treat defeats as an opportunity
to gain a valuable experience as well as learning from mistakes. It’s ok
to make mistakes, everyone makes mistakes, but its not ok to repeat
them. Child develops ability to analyze their own actions and their
opponent's, as well as understand a playing style and psychological
characteristics. You will notice that your child will become more self-
aware in time. Also develops mental resilience and confidence.

During a game of chess, a child needs to memorize some algorithms
and patterns, as well as previous moves. This develops visual and
chronological, types of memory. Chess forms the skill of
memorization for life.
